stopping time to post

so i have been slacking hard core on blogging...like MAJOR slacking! i hate it. i use this blog basically to document our life and i want to be able to look back and see all the fun milestones we went through with ryder.

ryder is now 13 months old. he is seriously the light of our life. kris and i say DAILY 

"he is seriously the cutest thing"

or

"i love him so much"

haha it varies but it always along the same lines. 

 

I just wanna take the time out and write a few things that ryder does right now so we can remember this age.

-loves to gives hugs, he has never been that big of a kisser so im glad he is a hugger

-he loves, i mean loves diesel. the other day he was a little too happy with diesel and pulled diesels ear and diesel looked at me like "mom come on, get this rug rat off me" haha but diesel just gives him kisses all day. and yes...by the end of the day ryder smells like dog{ew}

-his newest thing is bending down and just smacking/side swiping anything and everything including my pots and pans...just to see them fly across the room

-he loves it when daddy comes home. i mean, if daddy doesnt pick him up within 1 minutes of walking in the door it is a meltdown. then the routine continues as ryder follows him into the bedroom to change out if his work clothes and then follows him back out of the bedroom. he already idolizes him. i love it.

-everyday i see/hear him try to say new things, he called diesel "dd", i will ask him if he wants some banana and he will say "nana" 

- he runs ALL DAY

-he loves to sit on me. whether im on the floor, on the couch, in a chair he will back himself up and plop himself on my lap.

-so he still slaps your face, yup{he does it when he gets super excited}... but we are making progress. now after he slaps i will say "no no, be soft" and he will rub his hand down my face and say "ooooo" haha

- he loves all food right now. i mean everything. grapefruit, lemons, GREAN BEANS are his fav, roast, he is just my little eater and i love it

-he has this look that he gives me at least 3 times a day and it just radiates "mom i love you" i know sounds crazy but i feel it

-he loves dancing to music with me

-he does this thing with his fingers when he is watching something and its like he is rubbing money together haha i love it

-every time you ask him a question he goes "huh" haha cant wait for him to start saying words

-he hates car rides that are longer than 30 minutes

-still loves the outdoors, like if i bring him back in the house he throws a tantrum

-for some reason he is LOVE with the hunting channel, but still wont sit still for cartoons

-he loves to twirl in circles till he falls

-as of this last week he is sleeping through the night. we had him in his crib in our room until his first birthday. he would get up in the night, see me, and cry until i pick him up so i told kris we need to break this habit and move him to his room. Kris surprisingly was more reluctant on the idea{prolly because he wasn't the one getting up with him in the night haha} anyways we did the whole crying it out method, and surprisingly the max he cried was 15 minutes even on the first night, and he was out for the night. of course he would get up a few times but he would put himself to sleep. miracle. kris now says we should have done it earlier haha. But now he is sleeping from 9pm-7:30am every night. FINALLY! haha some peoples kids were doing that at 5 months haha but i wouldn't have done it any other way, loved having our baby in sleeping right by us. Im still up like 5 times a night but its just me being paranoid and making sure he safe and breathing. haha

anyways that is couple things our little son is up to now a days, he is just becoming more fun everyday. love being his mama

christmas 2014{super late post}

i have always loved loved loved christmas time, this year i found myself loving it even more. i think having a child around the holidays just make it that much more sweeter. i count this christmas as his first since he was just 1 week old last year. ryder loved the wrapping paper, loved chewing on my ornaments and christmas tree! haha it was always something new with this little guy.
we are gonna start with a few random pics i took with this little guy having to do with christmas:
when i busted out the decor he was so amazed at the lights!

 this was our tree this year-half decorated. he kept thinking the ornaments where balls he could throw! but i wouldnt have it looking this way any other way!

 the other task i was delt-he loved to eat the presents

 and of course-his FIRST time on Santas lap! haha went as expected! haha

christmas eve
Santa came early for our little family and we did our stockings and decided to open presents just us three from each other. it was so fun watching ryder "ooo" at everything, he especially loved the wrapping paper!

         

          

we finally got all ready and headed to my families house!

 we then headed to my parents house for the day!

           

Christmas day

so we always do christmas day at Kris's families since we go to mine on christmas eve

ryder of course got a few presents and one included a backpack so we can pack it full of toys and goodies when he goes and plays and mimi and papa house.

 attempted to play corn hole but someone was persistant in getting in the way

 giving aunt kailyn kisses through a bowl haha

 we got to talk to 2 missionaries- Alanah AND Summer-loved seeing them!

lastly-the last picture on christmas day... i loved playing with my new toys as a kid and would play alll night so i let him play as long as he wanted with his new toys.... he was up untill midnight! haha
